Reducing admin, increasing engagement
– with a smarter app for electricians

Skärgårdspartner is a Stockholm-based service company that delivers electrical installation and maintenance services across the archipelago. The vision of this project was to more effectively combine local knowledge with technical expertise to offer a more reliable and personal service to homeowners and businesses. The Goal was to reduce administration for the owner and at the same time create a more active and engaged team, where each electrician takes more ownership of the customer relationship and the job at hand.

About the project

The main challenge we addressed was the lack of a simple and user-friendly time and job management tool for mobile use. Existing systems on the market were either too complex, costly, or disconnected from the company’s own digital platform.

Our solution was a service management system built using WordPress, WooCommerce, and the Whiteport Contract Plugin — wrapped in React-based apps for iOS and Android. The system runs directly on the client’s own website and can be easily reused by other companies with similar needs.

Main features include:

  • A public ordering form connected to the internal booking system

  • Custom calendar views for planning, time reporting, and invoicing

  • Full job documentation handled on-site by the electrician

  • Instant mobile payments through Swish

  • Improved communication between electrician and client

We created a mobile web-based app tailored to the company’s real needs, avoiding unnecessary complexity and third-party platforms. The app is built on WordPress with Whiteport’s Contract Plugin and WooCommerce as a base, and is deployed in wrapper apps for both iOS and Android. It integrates seamlessly with the company’s own website and can easily be adapted for other service providers.

Results:

The system not only simplifies the workflow but also creates stronger customer engagement — and makes it possible to complete and charge for a job on the spot. This drastically reduces paperwork and improves cash flow for the company.
